Sunlight. The sun comes up around 5:30 am on a summer morning, and I see every second. It rises in the sky like a huge orange ball. Whenever I try to watch it, though, my eyes hurt. My Mom says not to look right at it, or I’ll hurt my eyes. I already wear glasses, so I don’t know what she’s talking about. She always seems to be talking about something.
Like the other day: she says that I have to sit in the seat of the cart in the grocery store. I’m too big for the seat. Seats are for little kids, and I’m not a little kid. I’m four years and three months old. I’m able to ride my bike around without help. If I can ride a bike without help, I don’t need to sit in the seat. I like to sit in the back part of the cart, though, or stand on the end like a fireman. I can jump off, too, whenever I stand on the end. It’s so much fun to hop off and throw in food when my Mom doesn’t see it. Sometimes she notice, though, at the checkout, and I’ll get in trouble for putting in Pop Tarts or Count Chocula. She buys it anyway, though.
Waking up early enough to see the sun is good because my parents aren’t up yet. I can watch Duck Tales and the other cartoons on the Disney channel for a few hours. Sometimes I play Nintendo, too. I’ve been trying to beat Master Blaster, but it’s too hard. Even if I warp to other levels, the bosses are really hard. Plus, you have to do some secret trick in order to beat one of the bosses. It’s a bunch of poop. I would rather play Zelda II, but that game is hard, too. Maybe I’ll play some more Tecmo Bowl instead or Punch Out! or Mario. I can beat Mario without warping once.
I want to eat some Wheaties, but the bowl is too big, and I’ll get in trouble if I don’t eat it all. Plus, we don’t have any more sugar. I don’t even think that Michael eats Wheaties without sugar. They’re gross otherwise. I like to put in enough sugar that you can scrape the spoon across the bottom of the bowl and get a chunk of sugar on the tip of the spoon. It’s a perfect amount of good tasting stuff to cancel out the Wheaties. They taste like paper by themselves.
Now it’s late enough in the morning that I can go over to my friend’s houses without waking up their parents. They all get up early, too, but they get in trouble if people ring the doorbell too early, and they can’t leave without telling their parents where they’re going. We’ll probably ride around our bikes down the alleys. It’s fun to slide like a motorcycle when you stop. Plus there are all kinds of cool things to look at and hills and tunnels to explore.
Bye!
